Garage Door Spring Is SprungWhen your spring has finally sprung, what’s a homeowner to do? Garage door springs are not only useless when they are broken, but they are also extremely dangerous. If you suspect a damaged or broken spring, don’t wait for it to go south, let the Garage Door Repair Company come take a look at the problem and give you the most appropriate solution.

Garage springs are one of the most important components of your garage unit. In fact, if your garage springs are not functioning properly, then you might as well rename it because your garage door will soon be a garage hole or garage wall. Springs within your garage impact the opening and closing of the door the most. When the garage opens or closes, the garage door spring’s job is to counteract the force of gravity on the door. When the garage is lowered, the springs gain tension. When it is raised, the garage door springs release the tension so that the springs can assist with the lift.

Why Would Garage Springs Be Dangerous?

The dangers of garage repair are most often also related to the springs. Think of your garage door spring as a giant jack-in-the-box. If a spring is fully coiled and tight, you can only imagine the damage it would do when it unexpectedly flings off its track and uncoils. With enough force to lift at least 150 pounds, how would you like that spring coil to come to your face? When it comes to garage door spring repairs, leave it to the expert professionals here at the Garage Door Repair Company to ensure that your garage is safely repaired once again.

Professional To Replace Or Repair Garage Door Springs?

While we all now realize safety is a big factor, let’s not forget all the other things that make your garage door repair a risky move to do on your own. Whether you are taking out, replacing or repairing the springs, your garage door will always need to be well thought out. Since garage doors are highly pressurized and mathematically calculated systems, one wrong installation can pose a risk to your health and also be quite costly in repairs later on.

Navigating COVID-19

We are still open as an essential business

To our valued customers,

Recent news about COVID-19 is unfortunate for many of our customers and our local businesses. As we continue to learn more about COVID-19 and as other businesses start the Pause phase of the recent Executive Order, our team at Garage Door Repair Company would like to express our concern for all those who have been affected. Our employees and our customers are our top priority , and we are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of each.

We have been closely monitoring the situation since it began and fully support all precautions being taken to prevent any further spread of the virus. Garage Door Repair Company has remained open and in full operation as we understand how important it may be to your daily lives to have a fully functional Garage Door. We continue to follow the plan we set in place in March when this pandemic began and will continue to do so. These are the changes we have made to our policies to help prevent the spread:

  • Our technicians will practice social distancing rather than shaking hands at the door.
  • Estimates and repair recommendations will be done remotely or over the phone while our customers stay inside or quarantined.
  • Preferably all payments will be made by credit card rather than by check.
  • We will continue to clean up after ourselves, wash our hands, and use hand sanitizer often.

The nature of our industry allows us a lot of flexibility in these times as most of our technicians are working in one to two man crews which is well under the guidelines that have been laid out before us. We even have the ability to complete all work without any face to face interactions and take payments over the phone.

We thank you for working with us as we navigate this situation.

With kind regards,

Josh Dutcher and Alex Johantgen
