Garage Door Component Repair

Garage Door Component RepairLike any machine that has any degree of complexity, your garage door will eventually develop a problem that requires the attention of a professional. Unfortunately, not every problem with a garage door is as simple to fix as removing a fallen shovel or bag of tree mulch from blocking a safety sensor. Over time, the moving parts of your garage door system can wear and break down, and that is where we can help. When your garage door stops functioning the way you need it to, the Garage Door Repair Company can fix it quickly and affordably.

Your garage door functions in large part because of tension that is created and released. Two specific components—the spring and the cable—are designed to withstand the tension

Garage Door Spring Repair

Garage Door Spring RepairThe garage door may not be a miracle of engineering like the airplane, but it is quite remarkable in its own way. The frame that supports your garage door as it moves along its tracks when you open and close it is fairly simple and minimalistic. What that means is that a minimal amount of material is used to attach to the ceiling and/or walls of your garage so that the weight of the garage door itself, but so that the mechanisms do not dominate the space.

Industrial Garage Door Repair

Commercial Garage Door RepairIf you own a business, and several vehicles help to keep your business going, you very likely rely on your garage door(s) more than you even realize. Industrial garage doors are built to take more of a beating than residential garage doors, so they may seem to have greater durability. But in an instant, that can change. The stress under which the door spring is under can cause it to fail. There could be a disruption of the power supply caused by a blown circuit breaker. Or one of your company’s vehicles could be

Broken Cable in Bloomington, MN

blog pic 1The Garage Door is often times considered a luxury of life that not many of us are really thinking about, of course, until the Garage Door breaks down. There are many different problems that can occur with the Garage Door but one of the more difficult repairs is when a broken cable happens to your Garage Door. This often times will happen when the door is opening or closing and because of the weight of the door being supported by the Torsion Springs the door will end up going crooked and jamming completely. In Bloomington, MN we were out servicing a customer for some new bottom seal and new precision bearing rollers but while we were inspecting the entire Garage Door we found that their cable was down to only a few steel threads and was about to snap at any moment. We were able to replace their cables before they broke which can cause even more damage and costs.

Navigating COVID-19

We are still open as an essential business

To our valued customers,

As we continue to learn more about COVID-19 and as other businesses start to re-open, our team at Garage Door Repair Company would like to express our concern for all those who have been affected. Our employees and our customers are our top priority , and we are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of each.

We have been closely monitoring the situation since it began and fully support all precautions being taken to prevent any further spread of the virus. Garage Door Repair Company has remained open and in full operation as we understand how important it may be to your daily lives to have a fully functional Garage Door. However, in response to this public health emergency, we’ve implemented a few changes to our policies to help prevent the spread:

  • Our technicians will practice social distancing rather than shaking hands at the door.
  • Estimates and repair recommendations can be done remotely or over the phone while our customers stay inside or quarantined.
  • Preferably all payments will be made by credit card rather than by check.
  • We will continue to clean up after ourselves, wash our hands, and use hand sanitizer often.

The nature of our industry allows us a lot of flexibility in these times as most of our technicians are working in one to two man crews which is well under the guidelines that have been laid out before us. We even have the ability to complete all work without any face to face interactions and take payments over the phone.

We thank you for working with us as we navigate this situation.
