New Garage Door Replacement in Crystal, MN

new-doorAt Rise & Shine Garage Doors we often talk about having your Garage Door and Garage Door Opener inspected to perform any preventative maintenance so that you can avoid any headaches in the future. Sometimes we find that it has gotten to the point where you may just want to replace the entire Garage Door. This was the case for one of our customers in Crystal, MN; they had moved in to their home within the last year but had inherited a cheap sub-par Garage Door. Initially the door worked fine for them but over time it started to jam when closing and even the panels began to crack. We explained to the customer that we could repair the door to the point of getting it functional again but there was nothing we could do about the cracks that were forming on the panels and it would only get worse. They opted to have the door replaced completely and now have peace of mind that they have a quality Garage Door for years to come.

Broken Cable in Bloomington, MN

blog pic 1The Garage Door is often times considered a luxury of life that not many of us are really thinking about, of course, until the Garage Door breaks down. There are many different problems that can occur with the Garage Door but one of the more difficult repairs is when a broken cable happens to your Garage Door. This often times will happen when the door is opening or closing and because of the weight of the door being supported by the Torsion Springs the door will end up going crooked and jamming completely. In Bloomington, MN we were out servicing a customer for some new bottom seal and new precision bearing rollers but while we were inspecting the entire Garage Door we found that their cable was down to only a few steel threads and was about to snap at any moment. We were able to replace their cables before they broke which can cause even more damage and costs.

Reliability is very important when it comes to your Garage Door in your own home but it is even more important if you run a business where you rely on a commercial garage door operating properly dozens of times per day. In New Hope, MN we had a customer contact us about their Commercial Garage Door that they use for ventilation in their work shop area; someone had run in to the door and all the sections had fallen out of the tracks completely. This customer had contacted a few different companies and one had promised to come out but did not show up; so not only were they dealing with their broken door but unreliable companies. Once they had gotten a hold of us at Rise & Shine Garage Doors we were able to have three technicians onsite and the Garage Door rebuilt in back in operational condition about three hours later. This customer was thrilled and knows who to call the first time for all their Garage Door needs.

New Garage Door Roseville MN

IMG_20160420_210642 (2)When something works it’s sometimes hard to find a good reason to replace it. Most go by the common phrase; if it aint broke, don’t fix it. Unfortunately when it comes to older garage doors this mentality can often times lead to a bigger problem. This was most recently the case for one of our Roseville customers. Their garage door was over 40 years old and had little to no maintenance or updates done to it. The door was still using an out dated spring lift system that is typically not used on new installations today. Due to lack of reliability and safety this system has been only used when other options cannot be installed. Our customer realized that her door was extremely old and trying to update at this time would not be very cost effective. She decided Garage Door Replacement was the best course of action. After going over all door options she decided to go with our Hormann Gemini 2100 Raised Panel option.
